Course Overview

Learn about the traditional craft of rag-rug making. During the workshop Jenni will demonstrate the traditional techniques of hooking and podging strips of fabric through hessian backing to make rugs, wall hangings and seat mats.
At the end of the day you will take home your own seat mat and a wealth of ideas for making more rag rug creations at home.
This is a Heritage Skills daytime course, part of the IgnitEd Programme

Special Requirements

Materials supplied (colours will vary) but if you want to include some fabric to make your project unique, do bring it - could be a tee shirt, something special to recycle or just something you like. Cottons or synthetics.

Cost

£35 per person includes a certificate of completion, free parking, use of materials and tools necessary to the course, refreshment vouchers and lunch voucher.
